September 2019 Meeting called to order 1900Hrs.

Correspondence:  Veterans Appreciation Dinner, Upper Perk. High School, Nov. 2, 2019 hosted by Senator Mensch:  Doors open 0745hrs. Event starts 0830 to 1030hrs.  Seating limited, reply to 215-541-2388 to attend

Veterans Day Parade, Phila. JFK & l6th St. at 1200hrs.  11/3/2019

Received questionnaire from Pa. MCL with a list of activities our League does, Motion approved for Commandant to respond to list of activities we do.

Christmas Wreaths: Received a request for a donation or Christmas wreaths, motion approved to table till next meeting to see what we sent last year

Paymaster report:  Tabled to next meeting.

Sick & Distress:   Charlie Stouck operated on 9/5/2019 for a new pacemaker, no report as of this date.

Rifle Comitteee:  Nothing to report,  Bill Worrell is the only one who is available for this meet if he attends.

Marine Corps Ball.  Nov, 9th, 2019 as planned,  Everyone is asked to bring a donation of alcohol to our next meeting for door prizes.  Money for the ball is to be brought to the next meeting or submitted to Tom Hyland no later than Oct. 26th. ($45.00) per person.  A head count needed third week of October.  (Senator) John Rafferty will be the guest speaker and Sen. Quigley will be in attendance.

Penn State:  Seats for Vets offered on Nov. 16th for a Penn State Game.  Tickets are free.  Contact Penn State University if interested.

Bruce Undergrove spoke about a suprise 97th birthday party for Pauline Klinger, USMC WWII at the Chestnut Knoll home in Boyertown, Pa.  Pam advised she will speak to a meeting of woman Marine’s this Saturday to plan something for this affair.  Pam will get back by e-mail to detachment as to the itinerary.  Detachment is asking for any aviailable member to attend this party  If attending please wear black pants, white shirt and cover if you have one.

Meeeting motioned to adjurned at 2000hrs Motion approved.

Bob:  I didn’t bring up about WaWa because Cal stated it was closed down for repairs.  I drove up there later and I was told it was going to be re-opened on the l8th of this Month.  Could you send out a request to any members who can man the table on the 20th from 1000hrs. to 1400hrs.  I spoke to Cal later in the week and told him WaWa was going to be open.  He said he was going to be there, but I can’t as I will be in court that day.  TY
