Uniform Committee – Everyone needs to pay attention to what uniform they are wearing and if it’s a MCL uniform (red jacket, short or long sleeve shirt) care must be taken to only wear authorized badges/ribbons/etc on the uniform. Especially if there are cameras present!!! Double check, and if you’re not sure, don’t wear it!! Remember, when in doubt, wear the cover, it is the only required uniform!!

Unfinished Business Challenge Coins: A new source of challenge coins has been found with the per unit cost about $5.00 each for minimum orders of 50. (Not including the one time setup fee for making the tooling dies) Asking members to come up with suggestions of artwork to have on the coins to vote on at the next meeting in Sept. Submit art to the Adjutant and he will distribute to everyone accordingly.

Newsletters: The person who was producing the artwork and editing the newsletter is now available again to create them for us. Suggested notices, articles, artwork, etc. Subit to Adjutant and it will be forwarded to be put in newsletters.

Recent Gun show: Aug 8-10, 2025 at Oaks.  It was a slow show weekend. Thank you to the members who helped man the tables and bring in ticket sales/donations.

Next Gun show at Oaks Oct 17-19 2025. Need Members to sign up to help work it as well. This is the biggest show of the year as far as attendance and number of vendors.

South East Veterans Center: SEVC is asking for donations of money or items in support of the Veteran Residence housed there. Currently there are 235 Residents of the SEVC facility.

Items to donate:

● TV Tray sets for residents in wheelchairs. ● Gift Cards for places like Wal-Mart, Dollar Tree, Center City Pizza (a favorite for delivery) ● 2 more cases of Beer (no surprise) for a casino event on 9 Sept 2025, Miller Light or Coors Light is fine.
● Sponsoring Lunch for a floor such as delivered hoagies, cheesesteaks, or pasta dishes. ● Ice cream Buckets (bulk sizes) for Sundaes ● Chocolate Bars as prizes for Bingo Nights (we already do this)

New Business Square Credit Card Processing: There was discussion and a motion for the league to enroll in the Square credit card processing system to help with ticket sales for the raffle and for other events like the MC Birthday Ball. Motion Passed to move forward with researching and starting the process.

Landsdale Beer Festival: It was suggested that the Det. have a table at the Lansdale Beer Festival as a vendor to sell tickets, bring awareness to our causes, and accept donations.

Pat McKernan spoke about his experiences there working the event as a LEO. He stated that it is more like a big tent full of people drinking than a vendor show and this particular event would probably not be successful. Dave Meehan sent an email to the event planner to inquire about the details to help with the decision. More to be discussed at the next meeting.

Senator Muth Veterans Expo: Senator Katie Muth hosts an annual veterans expo at the Oaks Convention Center. This year it is on Saturday, 27 Sept, 2025 from 10:00-14:00 Hall “C”. The Det. has reserved a table at the expo to sell raffle tickets, accept donations, and promote our causes to the veteran community here. Asking for Volunteers to help man the table. Set up is from 08:30-09:45, doors open to the public at 10:00. Please reach out to both the Commandant and the Adjutant if you are available to help with the event.

Veterans Fair: Jeanne Sorg, Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds, is hosting a Veterans Fair at the Plymouth Meeting Community Center 7 Oct. 2025 at 09:30-11:30. If the Det is interested in having a table at the fair, we will reach out to request one. Additionally, You may enroll in fraudulent protection alerts at the Record of Deeds office to protect your records from fraudulent use or forgery. Even if you are not able to help man the tables, we encourage you all to attend these events as they are full of information and resources for veterans locally. Good of the League
